Find a Psychologist Service
NSPA provides a list of licensed psychologists available for assessment,
consultation, and therapy services. If you are interested in obtaining
mental health services, please click on "Find a Psychologist" at left.
Continuing Education
We offer a variety of CE events each year, ranging from 2-hour to 6-hour
presentations. The 2-hour presentations usually occur on Wednesday evenings
at a local restaurant convenient to members. The 6-hour presentations are
usually on Saturdays at a larger venue, such as a local campus. Members
receive early notice about these events, priority registration, and discount
admission. These events are announced first on our
listserv
and our
Members' Only Events page,
and then in the public area of the website under
Events. Disaster Mental Health Service
Psychologists who are interested in volunteering their services in the event of a local, regional or national disaster can join the NSPA Disaster Response Network. NSPA has a formal agreement to provide mental health services through the American Red Cross. To learn more about this exciting community service, please contact Dana L. Nussbaum, Ph.D.
Government Affairs
Every year, bills are introduced in the California State Legislature that significantly affect psychologists and the clients we serve. NSPA members, working with the California Psychological Association (CPA), advocate to increase access to quality mental health care, promote mental health services and research funding, and ensure fair and equal insurance coverage (mental health parity). In addition, we fight legislative attempts to significantly weaken the scope of practice and professional stature of psychologists in private practice and hospital settings. To learn more about our efforts, please contact open position , or visit
CPA's government affairs webpage.
